Dan Wants to Talk About Tycho Brahe

Remember the solar eclipse back in 2017? It was predicted with such accuracy that you were probably able to get a 10 minute break at work just to risk blinding yourself to see it. That hasn’t always been the case, though, and it cheesed off 1500s Danish astronomer Tycho Brahe. This gold-nosed, eccentric party animal is responsible for increasing the accuracy with which we observe the night sky, which would invariably lead to many astronomical breakthroughs that we take for granted today. His life is a trip, though, from being kidnapped at age 2 all the way to having a centuries-long murder conspiracy revolving around his death.
